What does color analysis give us?

What is the difference between the color analysis in the 12 types of beauty system and the analysis divided into 4 seasons?
Still popular in Poland and promoted by most schools of make-up, the 4 seasons system is no longer used anywhere in the world. The analysis of 12 types is the standard nowadays, the old system is considered obsolete.
The system of 12 subtypes is not an alternative system to the classic division into four seasons, it is its development and improvement.
In the modern system, the color type is defined in a similar way to the classic technique of analyzing the four seasons, i.e. by assigning a person three color attributes:
- shade, i.e. color temperature (warm, cool)
- value (light, dark)
- chromaticity (clean, off)Some may wonder why multiply the color types, since the division into 4 seasons is enough.
But are you sure? Most people are not able to fully fit into one of the four types of beauty, few people can say that their description of a specific season fits 100%.
Within one season, you can meet very different people, each one has slightly different shades of color.
And since they need different colors, it means that there is a need to divide the four seasons into further sub-types.4 seasons is a very schematic, limited system. The shade plays a very important role in it, the colorist always first wonders if the client is the warm type or the cool type? And of course, there are people who easily fit into this pattern, but there are also those who already have a problem, and there are a lot of such people, especially in Poland.
The analysis of 4 types introduces strict divisions - Autumn and Spring only get warm colors, Winters and Summers only cool. And this is a mistake, because many people like cool and warm colors.The shade is not always the most important, the new system does not forget about other color attributes, i.e. value and chromaticity.
It is important to set the color attributes in the correct order, which allows to define the subtype of the analyzed person and is not accidental, but reflects the exact appearance of the analyzed person.The analysis with a division into 12 color types does not give a rigid color framework for each type, it only gives some guidelines, the colorist selects shades for the client based only on certain principles. This analysis allows the stylist to remain creative, it is only a guideline, it does not force him into patterns such as the old method of analysis, it does not limit him.
How is color analysis performed?
We perform color analysis with adequate lighting, based on special color scarves, with frames and on the basis of general characteristics.
First, we set the so-called the main attribute (key color characteristic) for a given person, i.e. the main characteristic that determines the type of the analyzed person (shade, value, chromaticity).
The next stage of the analysis is the marking of the second color attribute, i.e. indicating the feature that characterizes 10% of the client's appearance and ultimately determines whether or not to belong to a specific season.
